There's different levels of public. You've got your basic public which really means anyone near you that you see on a day to day basis (that doesn't know your secret), the next level which is relatively close to how word spreads in a school, and then theres the mass public, which is everyone.

Now, for one thing, you'd never get the chance to go public to the masses, not at first anyway. You'd have to perform your abilities in public, right in the streets. Like, walk out of school, run, jump, and fly away. Or something equally noticible. Otherwise hardly anyone will believe what they see, and dismiss it as a momentary quirk. It has to be potent enough to shatter their realities, because we, as a species, for the most part, live very isolated for most of our lives. We see everyone else on the streets but there's no connection. We go about our buisiness day to day, impartial and usually judgemental of the person standing next to you doing the same damn thing. Most could never believe something like us can happen unless you slap them in the face with it.

But even then, you can't just go around being pompous about it. Going public requires tact. We can't have the government barging down our doors.

Going public requires a gradual push. Show a few people. Show a few more. Show a street. Show the city. Someone in the city will tell another person and it will spread like wildfire, and then, ONLY then will it be safe for everyone else to know. Knowledge and discovery like this can only be accepted if the adoption of the knowledge is commonplace enough that it doesn't make us look like freaks. We're normal people. We aren't special. We just know more than they do. We feel more than they do. And we use what we know and feel.

Being blatent about it will only get that person unwanted and potentially fatal attention. You have to go public in such a way that you achieve a sort of protection, because the more people that can know about you and accept you, the harder it is to take you out of the picture, to hide you...to kill you? Whatever they do, it gets more and more difficult.

But with that said, once that first person breaches the silence into the public eye, it might very well open up a floodgate for everyone else who has found the knowledge.

I can only hope.

well if a group of people were to get together and decide to go public do you think they would freak out from it or wut?

Exactly. People would freak if we went out and immediately tried to show the world. ESPECIALLY if we grouped up. People would fear us so hard. I don't even want to think about that.

well I'm not actually planning on going public. I said at the begginning of this post that this is only a hypothetical question. And I'm not saying that we are different from humans because ofcourse we are humans too; however, we certainly are distinct and if we were to go public we would be classified differently. Its human nature to give a label
