well personly if i was i would start by trying to heat up your hands then concentrating on changing the flame on a candle then a bigger flame then bigger ect then on putting out a flame and then igniting a candle getting bigger and bigger then until u can throw fireballs lol that help

I agree...starting by controlling candle fire is, in my experience, the easiest way to practice pyro. Next try teaching body temperature changes with a thermometer. Or vice versa, they are both quite easy for beginners.
After you teach decent control and the student has enough skill, try warming up cold water from a bottle/glass from a distance, etc.
