If you've ever had electricity coursing through your hand you'll know what it will feel like. Find a joke shock pen, those put out a decent current. As for WHY YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO FRY ELECTRONICS? Well, gee, maybe because for one your electronics will be fried, and two, you may cause yourself electrical burns. Be safe.

The worst I had was a shock from plugging in an on-switched vacuum cleaner, or touching a coverless light switch lol.

Strangely, I've never shocked anyone/thing before when I did electro before. I've drained batteries before though...

I have been so busy with schoolwork and school drama lately that I'm too tired to practice kinesis when I have time to.

Electricity is much more powerful than fire though. A lightning bolt can be twice as hot as the sun. Though electricity is tricky, from my experiences I think it is easier to work with than fire.

You caught on fire? That's kind of scary. The popping noise was probably from a chemical reaction. You might have had a residue from soap or lotion on the part of your body that you immersed in a flame.
(Almost all soaps leave behind a scent, and that's a residue to clarify)

Residue is different than just something on your hands. If you have removed nail polish with acetone you'd know what I am getting at.

But back to the point;
Subconcious absorption of energy is called psychic vampirism, especially off of people and things you have negative emotions toward. It can be helpful sometimes but try working on giving it back, especially if you notice you are more awake and alert and your family and friends are tired and lazy.

Fires always make even a little noise when they go out, like bonfires and campfires, maybe it was different or louder because your finger wasn't dead and burnt like fire usually does to skin. If so it was from lack of a chemical reaction, I suppose.

Electricity is actually alot more volatile than fire because of their differences. Fire is much slower than electricity, and while fire is the result of a chemical reaction, electricity is pure buildup of electrons. Electricity can be hotter than any flame, hotter than the sun, even. There is so much more energy crammed into electricity than there is in fire. With fire, it's a mostly "what you see is what you get" kinda thing, because its variables are easily and quickly manipulable, whereas with electricity you can't actually see the charge of something, nor how strong that charge potentially is, so it's just a lot more risky.
