I think its a good idea. Not that I belive that the world will end in 2012, that is a load of bull. But developing abilities that could be used discretely to prevent natural disasters would be a good idea.

There is a prevailing apocalyptic religious culture throughout America it seems like a lot of religions and such are just waiting for the world to end then youll get your reward. Hmm how about making your dreams and wishes and how you want to treat people a reality in this moment in this world what if everyone stopped being so fatalistic and realized their true potential what if a green piece of paper with writing on it did not hold more sway over the imaginations and hearts of men and women what if instead the realization and the progression of abilities ie tk became the currency hmmm
